Holistic healing is an approach that focuses on the entire person as a whole rather than just treating a specific condition.  Often times when we are not functioning optimally there may be several different areas in need of attention, understanding and change.

Our Mind:

Focusing on our mental health may involve delving into the past to understand the development of our personal beliefs of self, others and the world.

Our Body:

Another important area to focus on when it comes to leading a healthy lifestyle are our day-to-day activities which may either worsen or promote good health.  Rest, nutrition, sleep, and exercise are just a few important areas to consider when we think about the health of our mind and body as a whole.

Our Spirit:

Holistic healing centered mental health therapy involves focusing on identifying our own values which are unique to our life experiences, family and culture.   A big part of building a fulfilling life is exploring, understanding, and aligning to what really matters at the core of who we are.

Creating a person-centered plan on how to start building the life you've always dreamed of is within reach.  Take this opportunity to make a commitment to start your journey...the time is now.

My Experience

Breeza Y. Quezada, LCSW #28692

USC Masters of Social Work 2009

UC Irvine Bachelor of Arts, Psychology 2006

Throughout the 14+ years of clinical practice I've acquired a diverse range of experience. Having held employment with Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, for 5 years, I focused on providing clinical care to countless individuals struggling with mental health, substance abuse and socioeconomic challenges.

For the last 8 years, I've maintained employment through a major healthcare organization and have provided individual, family, group, crisis, and couples therapy.

Regardless of where I've practiced my approach has always been the same...I am an action-oriented therapist who leads sessions with focus, care and compassion. I primarily utilize evidence-based therapies that have been scientifically proven to be effective.

I strongly feel that because of who I am as a person, and the time and effort I've taken to build my clinical skillset, I've been blessed to have witnessed much change and growth among those individuals I've held in my care.  I've witnessed countless people recover from depression and learn to effectively manage anxiety and other mental health disorders. I've witnessed families come together, couples develop renewed commitment, and traumas loosen their hold on peoples lives.

Should you want to learn more about my holistic treatment approach or just have a conversation to see if my style would be a good fit for you...please reach out to schedule a free 20 min consultation at no charge.

Treatment Models

At Holistic Healing Psychotherapy, Corp we provide cutting-edge evidence based treatment approaches. Here are just a few evidence based models we may utilize in our eclectic approach.

🔸Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or CBT is a treatment model that has strong scientific support which validates its effectiveness. CBT was initially created to treat depression but has since been found to be effective in treating several other mental health conditions. This treatment approach generally focuses on the interconnection between our thoughts, mood, behavior and how these components impact our mental health.

🔸
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy or DBT is a treatment approach that was primarily created for the treatment of borderline personality disorder and or challenges with emotion regulation. This therapy model focuses heavily on building 4 important areas: mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance and emotion regulation.

🔸Acceptance Commitment Therapy or ACT is a treatment model that focuses on building ability to be mindful, to build acceptance of our unchangeable life circumstances, and increase our alignment with what we value at the core of who we are.

🔸
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing or EMDR is an evidence-based therapy primarily created for the treatment of post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). EMDR is a unique type of treatment in that verbally processing trauma, in-depth, is not needed. This type of treatment involves bilateral stimulation (therapist-led eye movements or tapping) which stimulates the brain to heal from trauma.

🔸Emotion Focused Therapy or (EFT) is a treatment approach for individuals, families, and couples that promotes connection to self and others through growing awareness of emotions. Given emotions are what drives our inner and outer experiences and reactions- it is believed that the more we grow in self-awareness the better we can navigate through relationships and life.

🔸Exposure Response Prevention or ERP is an evidence-based therapy created for the treatment of OCD. This treatment approach focuses on gently, and strategically, working towards exposing one to thoughts, images, situations, and or objects that trigger anxiety, and in turn, activate compulsions. As a person builds their ability to tolerate and effectively manage anxiety- control over compulsions may be gained.

🔸Trauma Resiliency Model or TRM is a treatment aimed at re-regulating the nervous system post-trauma. In order to regulate the nervous system the therapeutic focus of this treatment model is placed on verbally processing trauma all while simultaneously focusing on body sensations and movements.

Although this treatment is not yet evidence based this model has proven to be a helpful adjunct in combination with other treatment approaches.

🔸Gottman Method for Couples Therapy is a treatment approach, backed by research, that involves a thorough assessment of the relationship which focuses on the Sound  Relationship House Theory. The goal is to disarm unhealthy communication by fostering understanding, respect, connection and compassion.

🔸Seeking Safety is an evidence based treatment created for individuals who struggle with trauma and self harm (primarily substance abuse).  This treatment model focuses heavily on building coping prior to the clinical processing of trauma.
